OWT with Jacket Foundation: Corrosion
Research Motivation
Global corrosion-incurred cost is as high as nearly 2.5 trillion US dollars. In the offshore wind industry, effective corrosion control measures can lead to approximately 15% to 35% cost savings. Corrosion is regarded as a critical issue throughout the life cycle of an offshore wind turbine.

Contents
This study explores corrosion effects on the load-carrying capacity and stability of the support structure and foundation of turbines.
Future Prospects
In the future, we can expect that domestic growing knowledge of offshore corrosion will enhance engineer understanding and thus deliver safer and more reliable offshore wind design practices.
